A road in a dream

Beauty, we don’t possess

But bless’d to see your face.

By that same road I know, I’d travel by

Foot again, my spirit friend.

One asks Beauty,

“What does Love do

When Love knows night’s end?” She says

“Dreamer, just lie with her there.”

I’ve waited my whole life

To watch you drive

Past. And next time you pass by me, again,

My eyes hold a dream, therein.

With what little I can take

By Beauty’s Road I travel

‘Till her end. Holding you in my arms that

Day. You, I’ll lay down next to.
