There was a world made of god-like people, and Eden’s strewn on every glance
They wanted (what was it called, vanished like a dream?) Love, to fall from a tree
Yet, where they looked they only saw hate. In this world, they reached the moon.
Trawled the depths. Built flying machines and wonders. But still couldn’t find Love.
She appeared one casual day to us. A meteorite struck, you entering my soul, True Love.
We should be celebrating. Instead, systems of hate are put in place to patent us.
Venus came out as a lesbian. The patriarchal world can’t comprehend lesbian
True Love, as she came to us. Can’t see God in lesbian love, only the devil
They say, is us. Crisis in religion and capitalism, starved of love, can’t let us be Love.
And so they go on, hoarding wealth, to construct Love for themselves.
Yet we know Love, she looks like one another, my love, it’s true, love – for you – I love.
