I want you to draw it
My very breath
Taking in spirit, holding it in flesh
I’d like to pass on my nous
Since I came upon it
Looking for you
I drew a breath:
I’d like you to know
How it feels
To pass it on, lung to lung,
Holding breath in spirit, within spirit breath
I’m an elf dreaming
Of love
Earth beneath stars above
Softens the land spirit draws from
Drifts in a breeze of emptiness
Your heart arrives, a flower in it
I’d like to know
How it feels
To draw my very breath
I’d take yours
But I’ve never owned it
You move across my spirit, in gliding openness,
My nous, g, in you, spirit
To reach out
To touch it
The flower fresh
For a moment to hold your breath
You dreaming of love
Next to me
In such mortal coil
Its reverie compassionate
Breath sweet in expression,
O breath!
Love that’s never known death!
