People theorise, give up, hang their coats up with Trump,
I wonder, slap-stunned awake (I say, it all becomes good),
Laughter dissolves into a sad poem about humanity –
And covid, where did they go?stuffed in walls, some plants-
Aesthetics, some people for show, I stepped out of my house,
Into my breath, the wind,
Lashed at my skin, but roughened my heart, a winter
Blast, twas a good thing. All Nature, a good thing,
An elven green human being to touch within,
Yet, blocked out in covid, we kept apart from our heart,
We stayed indoors: the plants needed reverencing
We gave them nothing, outside bulldozing, wind and rain
Lashing me, a good thing, my hearts in my soul, outside-
Reverencing-green, and if I lost my natural part, post covid
Would I be human being? I’d be lost, I’d be no-being.
