“Margarita, who am I?” Lorca

Heartbeat so strong

A love song

Cutting waves thru the howling ones

Thru comes a woman

A dream queen

I go to sleep

I dream her knock at my door

I look out, no one except

The neighbours hooting

My sister happy –

But they’re no one

The queen

Her sight to see

Enamoured, enraptured

Her high dignity

Their barbarity should not be allowed to see

For she’s a queen

Howlers should not be

Permitted to speak her name

The sound that issues from them

Is vulgarity

I want to yell to her

Atop them

As we climb to each other

Over them

Keep on keep on

Forget about them

For their vulgar talk

The things they say

Are shadowy and ill

For they will try to part love

That’s their end game

Their plans

Setbacks they take as wins

My love, my dream queen

She’s better than all

True, constant, a blessing:

I’ll give her poetry

The truth

I’ll give her invulnerability and in our love, rising, a levitation

To step over them

My dream queen

Looking round at life

Its little setbacks and its horde to part, blinking, logged in

Dear

I want to tell you

You’re the truth,

Them illusion

All that’s real is you

My dream queen

I dont feel apart, no matter the setback,

I dont know about you? my passion in my chest

Is volcanic
